I first learnt judo in London at the Judokan in Hammersmith under Sensei Sekine San, 7th Dan. I believe it is a skill for life, not just in fighting situations, but also in terms of balance, stamina, accident survival, and confidence. When Tony Allen asked me to join Oranmore Judo Club back in 2005, I was proud to wear the judogi again.
