He also led the team that lifted Tony clean across the mats this week! No lightweight, then. Nice one, Charlie, well deserved.

PS: There will be no judo for the next 2 weeks – we restart August 16th.

Richard the Third Murphy!

Richard Murphy, Seniors’ and Competitions Coach at Oranmore Judo Club, recently passed his Dan Grading to attain the Black Belt 3rd Dan Grade. Pictured here  with Sensei Tony Allen (4th Dan), Richard shows his new belt and Certificate of grading from the Irish Judo Association.

Congratulations to Ellen and Rachel… Effort and Achievement

Grading up for Ellen and Rachel. On Wednesday last Ellen Greally passed her test to gain her Orange belt and Rachel Howarth moved up from yellow to yellow/Orange. Congratulations to both ladies: Kano says ‘Where there is effort, there is always achievement’ – as you two demonstrate. Pictured is Sensei Tony Allen presenting our judoka with their belts.

No Accident!

Luke and Eireann Murphy, who have both fought well in recent contests for Oranmore Judo Club, just graded up! You did not get those belts by accident. Congratulations, guys!

Sean Goes Red!

This is not an Orange belt! Looks good on you though – so something to aim for!

Congratulations on achieving your Red, Sean.
